¡n[s]urgênc!as

Conceived in 2018 as a professional orientation program & networking event between 12 Latin American artists and 12 representatives of the Berlin artistic scene at Agora Collective. Supported by the municipal program "Weltoffenes Berlin" with the aim of integrating the participants in the professional network of Berlin and helping them positioning their artistic expression in the creative context of Germany. The first edition of ¡n[s]urgênc!as (2018) was curated by Paz Ponce and Daniela Labra, in collaboration with Kap Hoorn Platform for Latin American Artists in Berlin.

In 2019 ¡n[s]urgênc!as evolved as an artist-in-focus studio program for politically engaged Latin American artists: a 7 months fellowship program in collaboration with ZK/U (Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik) in Berlin, supported by Weltoffenes Berlin. Invited artist: Gabriel Vallecillo (Honduras) https://www.gabrielvallecillo.com/

¡n[s]urgênc!as is founded and directed by Paz Ponce (Agora Collective e.V.)
